Here's some brief reviews of the episodes that appeared in Season 2 of the Smurfs cartoon show, minus the Johan and Peewit episodes.
- 1. The Smurf Who Couldn't Say No
Interesting episode, but Papa Smurf came off as rather distant to Pushover instead of fatherly and sympathetic to his situation.
- 2. The Adventures Of Robin Smurf
- 3. S-Shivering S-Smurfs
- 4. Sister Smurf
Gets more interesting near the end when the Smurfs rescue Smurfette and Laura from the old hag.
- 5. Revenge Of The Smurfs
- 6. The Three Smurfketeers
Not as fun as the Robin Smurf episode.
- 7. Heavenly Smurfs
- 8. It Came From Outer Smurf
It's too bad we only get to see the alien visitor in this episode.
- 9. Squeak…

As a suggestion, for characters that have multiple appearances in stories and episodes that make them main characters instead of supporting ones, they should have a separate page for listing them.
Rene Auberjonois, who voiced the character Hotap in the Smurfs cartoon show episode "Papa's Family Album", has recently passed away.

Having watched the episode before reading the Random House English adaptation of the comic book back in the day, I would say that both versions of the story are worth reading and watching. As one of the only real differences to note between the two versions is that Smurfette is in the cartoon show episode and is completely absent in the original comic book story, her presence or absence doesn't really change much of the story as she basically wasn't an essential player. Same thing with Gargamel, as he only appears in the cartoon show episode but is completely absent in the comic book story; he hardly interacts with the Smurfs and is chased away from them by a thundercloud. For what the cartoon show episode does leave out (which are two of …
Having seen the Smurfs cartoon show episode version of "Romeo And Smurfette" before having read "Smurf Vs. Smurf" (which at the time I read it was referred to as "Smurf Of One And Smurf A Dozen Of The Other"), I have to give nods to both stories using the same pre-climax scene with the Smurfs being led to fight off Papa Smurf disguised as Gargamel to resolve their petty differences. The situations leading up to this confrontation, however, are different. Whereas "Romeo And Smurfette" had the Smurfs in two camps fighting over who's the more suitable suitor for Smurfette, Hefty or Handy, "Smurf Vs. Smurf" has the Smurfs fighting over the difference of how the word "smurf" is to be used in compounded words and phrases. Which situation is funn…
Since I saw the episode before I even read the comic book story (which the original version called "The Black Smurfs" I owned a German copy of), I can say now that I think the cartoon show episode is the more fully realized version of the story than its original comic book story. Sure, there was a switch in the first Smurf that was infected by the Purple Fly, as "The Purple Smurfs" in the cartoon show happened after the events of "The Smurfette", but the fleshing out of the work on the bridge makes Papa Smurf's anger towards Lazy more understandable in the episode, as he was subjected to a constant barrage of things going wrong: Greedy getting gunk on his shovel, Smurfette painting the bridge the wrong color, Brainy accidentally cutting th…

A parody of the song "Video Killed The Radio Star" by the Buggles.
I saw them on the TV back in '81,
A hundred blue guys living life and having fun,
I had the feeling the party's just begun.
And then they added new ones to the family,
Baby, the Smurflings, Wild, Grandpa, and ol' Nanny,
And even then they're still as funny as can be.
Oh-ah-oh-ah, before we knew it,
Oh-ah-oh-ah, they've gone and blew it.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
That season came and broke my heart.
And now we see that they're all traveling through time,
Meeting a string of Gargamels all down the line,
We'd had a feeling that something 'bout them's dying.
Oh-ah-oh-ah, we should have all known,
Sung to the tune of "99 Red Balloons" by Nena.
It happened on a summer breeze
When Lazy went to chop down a tree
A purple fly stung him in the tail
There came from him a painful wail
He felt strange as his skin turned dark
Then "gnap gnap" was all he barked
A frightful sight came upon the earth
Lazy was turned into a Purple Smurf
Lazy was a Purple Smurf,
Hopping up and down the turf
Brainy told Papa what he had saw
Vanity replied with a guffaw
Then others saw him as he hopped away
They chased and caught him before the break of day
Papa warned them to watch their backs
Because on a tail a Purple Smurf will attack
Lazy was bound and held in his house
He escaped and infected Hefty like a mouse
Clumsy was next as he chased him down
Throwing a lasso with which he…

I don't know what's the story with Papercutz and the originally planned adaptation of "The Smurf Reporter" that's supposed to come out in January 2018, since it no longer shows up on the American Amazon.com site as a pre-order. I'll try to have more information as it comes.
For those who are waiting for a new Smurfs TV series, there is some good news. Link to article at Newsarama
I'm still testing the water as far as how this Wiki format works and how to do edits and create articles. To be honest, I have never edited Wiki stuff before. Pardon the occasional awkwardness while I get my Wiki legs!

William Christopher, the voice of Angel Smurf in the Smurfs cartoon show, passed away on December 31, 2016.
Did I ever tell you the day that three smurfs met the Winchester brothers and their paranormal hunting team, which includes two Vampires?
It all started in Paris, France. A young smurf was found dead, he's eyes missing, the pentagram carved right above the corpse. Because the Paris Police never saw anything like this before, the president of France called the FBI BAU to come to Paris. When the president told them about the dead smurf, Dr. Spencer Reid, a young FBI Agent, said that they need the Winchester team. So, he called his friend, who was part of the team. She told the Winchesters, and they took the very next flight to Paris, France.
The Winchester team headed to the hotel the smurfs were staying at and pronounced the sad news. Three s…
I came across this site: http://hillen661.eklablog.com/peyo-pierrot-et-la-lampe-p1107940
It is interesting to see how the panels were arranged and cropped to match to different page sizes.

- Pierrot and the Lamp - Spirou edition - Originally printed at 21.0cm x 29.7cm
And I decided to try my hand at translating:
People, you really need to take responsibility to write articles with good enough English to be readable, or else I'm going to outrightly reject them, and trying to resurrect them without doing anything to fix them is just going to get you blocked. I can work around fixing grammar that's just slightly off, but not when it's written like somebody has no grasp of even basic grammar rules. Fair warning.
In honor of that day, here's a Smurf adaptation of a scene from Episode V.
This is a visual example of why I think the Smurfs in the live-action/CGI film are better than other characters done as live-action/CGI.
