Bog Goblins are a hideous breed of water-dwelling goblins with frog-like traits that reside in Brackish Bog.
In "Calling Doctor Smurf", Dabbler as Doctor Smurf went to Brackish Bog to find some swamp root to cure the "ill" Smurfs infected with the Spotted Pink Plague. When he acquired the root, an orange Bog Goblin quickly appeared from the depths and began pursuing Dabbler Smurf and the other Smurfs who arrived and chased them until they were washed into a cave.
In "Wild About Smurfette", the Smurfs tried to impress Smurfette by catching a Bog Goblin. However, their attempts proved futile when a brown Bog Goblin appeared and avoided all their traps. The beast was defeated in the end when Smurfette threw flowers in its face, causing it to sneeze uncontrollably.
In "Hefty's Rival", a Bog Goblin tried to eat Hefty Smurf, but fortunately he was saved thanks to some quick thinking from Wild Smurf.
