Cartoon Network is a cable television network created by Turner Broadcasting which primarily shows animated programming.
The syndicated version of the 1980s Smurfs cartoon show, Smurfs Adventures, aired on this network starting in the early 90's, until it was moved to Boomerang on April 1st, 2000. As the show was a part of their Hanna-Barbera programming lineup, the Smurfs were included or mentioned in many unique promos and bumpers for the network, usually with voices provided by their original voice actors (with the exception of Papa Smurf in 1997 and onward, as Don Messick had retired and passed away).
