Dojo is a human character who appeared in the cartoon show episode "Papa's Big Snooze". He is the gardener in charge of tending the Emperor's garden at the Palace Of The Rising Sun. In the episode, the Emperor saw the current state of the garden and demanded Dojo to improve its appearance and get rid of the bugs or he will have his head. After the Emperor left, Dojo dealt with a bonsai beetle that was trimming the shrubbery of the trees in the garden. In the meantime, the time-lost Smurfs had entered the garden so that they could find the bonsai beetle, only to find it being chased by Dojo. The Smurfs tried to stop Dojo, but in the process he fell upon the bonsai beetle, almost squashing him to death. The Emperor returned to the garden and saw how beautiful the trees now looked, ordering Dojo to make the trees just like the ones the bonsai beetle had trimmed. As he was wondering how he could do that with the bonsai beetle presumably dead, Grandpa Smurf used the pollen of the Pick-Me-Up Pansy to revive the beetle so that he could also cure Papa Smurf's induced sleeping sickness before the second sunset. Dojo and the bonsai beetle would work together from that point on to make sure the Emperor's garden will always be beautiful.
