Don Smurfo is a Smurf character that exists only as a fictional character in his own series of books in the cartoon show universe.
Character[]
He speaks in an Italian accent and is portrayed as a swashbuckling Zorro-type character. He owns a Golden Eagle as a pet, who he uses as a form of transportation.
Two of Don Smurfo's main enemies are Mala Garg and Zraela, who resemble fictional Italian counterparts of Gargamel and Azrael.
Jokey once portrayed himself as Don Smurfo (in the episode of the same name) in order to win Smurfette's heart. In "The Return Of Don Smurfo", the real Don Smurfo was magically transported out of his storybook to experience real-life situations in the Smurf Village; in the third (and last) episode focused on Don Smurfo, "Don Smurfo's Uninvited Guests", Brainy, Nanny, and Snappy were mistakenly transported into his storybook during an attempt to bring him into the real world again.
In the two episodes where Don Smurfo speaks, his dialogue consists mostly of Italian-based running gag phrases and their different variations, such as "Pasta smurfoli!", "Smurfoli macaroni!", and "Ravioli smurfoli!".
