Dwayne (original French name Broc) is a recurring character of the 2021 cartoon show who first appeared in Season 3.
Character[]
He is Mummy's grandson, as well as Gargamel's nephew and Rowena's older brother. The two pre-teens are frequently dropped off at Gargamel's hovel to spend time with him, much to his annoyance. Dwayne speaks with a dopey, nerdy-like voice.
Personality[]
Dwayne seems to be a rather quiet kid and is only interested in playing his video game console. He is shown to be a sociable person, however, when that console is taken from him, working together with Rowena to get back at Gargamel for taking their stuff.
Dwayne seems to be wanting to worship his uncle and accompanies him in catching the Smurfs for him.
Appearance[]
Dwayne has black hair with a streak of a blue spot. He has an all-blue attire. He wears a light blue shirt and rusted, dark blue pants and shoes. He wears a brown belt over his shirt.
Relationships with Others[]
Gargamel[]
Dwayne is Gargamel's nephew. Initially, Gargamel seems to outright dislike him, not wanting to take care of him and Rowena while Mummy drops them off and taking his toy console away from him as punishment for being a brat to him.
Dwayne, like Rowena, seems to want to be like Gargamel. He follows him in stealing the Smurfs often, as shown in "Family Time". In turn, Dwayne is one of the few individuals that Gargamel does not harm (though this is likely because he is a child).
Rowena[]
Rowena is Dwayne's sister. On the surface, Rowena seems to be rather distant towards him, only working together with him by either freeing the Smurfs when his toy console & Lucretia are taken away by their uncle Gargamel, or helping him in his schemes when they feel like it by causing mischievous trouble to the Smurfs with their mean tricks, getting in their way, and ruin things.
Razamel[]
Even though they never interacted, Razamel is Dwayne’s father or uncle.
The Smurfs[]
Upon first meeting the Smurfs, specifically Brainy and Lily, Dwayne does not care for them until seeing that Gargamel loves to hate them. As a result, he and Rowena free the Smurfs from his cage, and later, Brainy and Lily save the two kids from Bigmouth.
However, upon bonding with Gargamel, Dwayne decides to make his uncle proud and tries to steal Brainy and Lily with the evil wizard and Rowena. The Smurfs outwit the two kids by using Gargamel's living potion making objects come to life.

Trivia[]
- He and Rowena are similar to Scruple, Gargamel’s apprentice from the 1980s series, Jeanty, his one-time admirer from the comics, and Gargamel's nephews, a trio of unnamed triplets who are three children who resemble their uncle, (possibly being the sons of Gargamel's twin brother, Gourmelin) also from the comics. Just like Scruple and Rowena, he occasionally calls Gargamel "Gargy" & just like the former, he also goes to Wizard School.
