Flighty Smurf (original French name Schtroumpf Distrait) is a minor character of the Smurfs comic books and 1981 cartoon show, who appears in Season 7.
Character
Comic Book Version
In the comic books, Flighty is a absentminded Smurf who is prone to becoming easily being distracted by anything and tends to forget things, as noted in the comic book story The Smurfs And The Book That Tells Everything when he goes to the Old Tower to consult the titular book about how he could keep his memory, but ended up forgetting the question entirely and was soon ejected.
His only other appearances before this were in the 100 Smurfs Poster depicting him being distracted by a knotted cloth, and Schtroumpferies Vol. 3. He is seen in another Smurf's house for seemingly a whole day. When he was questioned when he was leaving, he replies that he thought that the Smurf was in his house.
1981 TV Series Version
In the 1981 TV series, Flighty's portrayal is more on the side of being unable to make decisions for himself, so he enlists the help of Papa Smurf to solve the problem.
