"Forget Me What?" is the thirty-eighth episode of Season 1 of the 2021 CGI TV series, The Smurfs.

Synopsis[]
While being chased by Gargamel, Brainy uses the forget-me-what flower to make the wizard lose his memory. Brainy then befriends him, but there is one problem left - Azrael.
Summary[]
In the Smurf Forest, Brainy lectures Clumsy and Dimwitty about the forget-me-what flower, a flower that only arrives every 100 years. The three use clothespins to destroy it under the request of Papa Smurf, but Clumsy fears he will smell it. Brainy tells him everything will be fine. The three Smurfs successfully pull it out, but suddenly, Gargamel and Azrael show up and they run away.
The three Smurfs are chased but are caught - until Azrael bumps into Gargamel and he ends up dropping the bag they were in, and Azrael resumes the chase. They stop once they see a cliff, but Azrael accidentally jumps off it. Gargamel searches for his cat and sees the three Smurfs running as Gargamel runs after them. Suddenly, Clumsy is hit by the spring of flower due to his size, causing him to get caught by Gargamel. Dimwitty gets in too as Clumsy got caught. Clumsy is mad at him since he was supposed to run away. Just then, Brainy realizes he has the flower and when he is picked up by Gargamel, he dumps it all in his nose.
Gargamel has now lost his memory and sneezes, causing Clumsy and Dimwitty to be free as Brainy tells them to go run off with him, but Gargamel observes them and wonders what they (and himself) are doing in the forest. Brainy is happy that the flower has worked, and he does not remember who they are. Clumsy and Dimwitty run off while Brainy stays. As Clumsy asks if he's coming, Gargamel fears him running away, saying the forest is scary and he doesn't know where he lives. He starts sobbing as Brainy sympathizes with him and says he's going to help him. Clumsy and Dimwitty decide to leave as Brainy comforts Gargamel by saying he will help him go home.
Clumsy and Dimwitty go back to the village to inform the Smurfs about the newfound nice Gargamel, but Clumsy trips and so does Dimwitty. Both hit poles in the village while Jokey and a Smurf look at him.
Meanwhile back in the forest, Brainy is leading Gargamel back to his hovel as he lectures the wizard about forest rules. He is happy to find someone that doesn't tell him to stop talking like the other Smurfs.
The two arrive at the hovel, where Brainy offers to stay longer, and Gargamel agrees to this. When they enter the hovel, Gargamel is worried from the dim atmosphere as well as the traps and potions that he doesn't know. Brainy tells him these are crazy baking ingredients. Gargamel then observes magic ginger and Brainy accidentally tells him that it jogs his memory of who he is. Brainy takes it and says it went bad. Brainy says he can help Gargamel clean up the hovel, saying he is great with organizing. Gargamel is much happier. Meanwhile, Azrael gets up from the cliff and goes back to the hovel.

New best friends
Back in the hovel, Gargamel decorates around the place, and everything looks polished. Cakes are also put out and so are various mugs. He is delighted to see the cleaner look. He makes a new motto: "What Would Brainy Do?". He finds and wears some glasses, though he can't see anything.
As Azrael arrives at the hovel, he sees Gargamel and Brainy, the latter of which he finds and runs to him. Gargamel sees Azrael but dismisses him as a cute cat. He tells him no attacking the Smurfs. Brainy sighs in calmness. Until he calms down, Azrael is locked up inside a cage. Just then, Jokey arrives and hears Gargamel call him and Brainy "best friends". Jokey explains to Brainy he found out what happened to Gargamel and wanted to check it out. Brainy tries to make him leave to no avail and Gargamel says he should stay. Jokey tells them he invited a lot of Smurfs over to meet the new Gargamel, though it is shown the various Smurfs are already there. Gargamel goes to pick up pizza while all the Smurfs run into the hovel.
In the hovel, Brainy tries to tell the Smurfs that Gargamel is their friend, so they need to treat him and his hovel nice. Jokey and crew instead go off and wreak havoc, such as using his chandelier as a swing and playing around with his microphone. He tells various Smurfs not to touch anything since him and "Gargy" were redecorating it. Just then, Gargamel comes with the pizza as the Smurfs get ready to devour. Jokey asks where dessert is and Gargamel runs out to get dessert, leaving Azrael. Various Smurfs continue wreaking havoc and play music. Some Smurfs use plates to surf on. As Brainy is agitated, he uses Gargamel's catchphrase "I hate Smurfs!".
Azrael eventually opens the cage using his claw and goes near the hovel. Just then, Brainy sees Greedy eating the magic ginger and they fight over it. When the ginger falls on the floor, Greedy says he wasted perfectly good food. However, Brainy notices the ginger is gone because Azrael has stolen it. He is distracted by Jokey's exploding box, however.
Gargamel happily skips back to the hovel, where Azrael tries to give him the ginger, but he declines, saying it gives him gas. Azrael claws Gargamel and the ginger is put into Gargamel's mouth. He asks Azrael what happened, and he explains it.
When Brainy tells Jokey to bring the Smurfs back to the village, Gargamel, memory-refreshed, prepares to eat the Smurfs while Azrael chases them. Gargamel tells Brainy he will never be his friend since he despises them all. While he and Azrael run after them, they outsmart him. Hefty arrives to bring them back. All of the Smurfs use plates from when they surfed on them and they get out of the hovel, breaking all the plates and a couple remaining Smurfs bring a pot that catapults Gargamel into the air and onto the ground, where the pot hits him, and he is defeated. The Smurfs run out of the hovel.
As they leave, Brainy is upset that he thought Gargamel was really his friend. Jokey jokes about this and how a real friend wouldn't eat him for lunch, and he laughs.
Trivia[]
- This is the sixth episode in which no female characters appear. The first five are "Joke's On You", "Leaf It Alone", "Adventures In Smurfsitting", "The Curse Of The Smurfs' Treasure", and "Pop Out!".
- The title is a reference to the forget-me-not flower, which exists in real life, though it does not have the same purpose as the episode states and is instead called a Myotosis flower.
- The plot is similar to that of "Forget Me Smurfs", in which all the Smurfs except for Sickly inhale the scent of a flower that causes that person to forget.
- The glasses Gargamel briefly wore in this episode are the same as the ones from "The Scariest Smurf".
- The lady's shoe from "Who Nose?" returns. Two Smurfs can be seen running with it in Gargamel's hovel.
- When Clumsy says "Well we're gonna Smurf out of here", he sounds similar to Mummy.
