Francisco Colmenero (n. In Mexico City on February 28, 1932) is currently one of the most recognized in Mexico and Latin American actors and directors of Mexican dubbing. His career in the middle of dubbing dates back to 60 years of uninterrupted, through hundreds of eminent people throughout their lives.
He was Papa Smurf, Grouchy Smurf and Father Time's voice actor in the Spanish version of the Smurfs cartoon show.
He was going to reprise his role of Papa Smurf and Grouchy in the film of 2011 but declined when casting for the character of Papa Smurf, this is because the budget that they were offering him did not seem fair, his place was taken by Armando Réndiz in the voice of Papa Smurf and Enrique Cervantes in the voice of Grouchy Smurf.
