Franklin W. Welker (born March 12, 1946) is an American voice actor, known for providing the voices of over 1200 different characters. He is largely known for voicing animal characters such as Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II from ''The Simpsons'', as well as other characters without any actual speech, such as Orbitty from ''The Jetsons''. He also provided the voice of Megatron, as well as several other characters from the 1980s syndicated ''Transformers'' cartoon show, and is possibly best known for providing the voice of Freddy Jones in every incarnation of the ''Scooby Doo'' series. He also uses a "Rainman-y" voice on several characters, including Ralph the Guard from ''Animaniacs''.
