Synopsis[]
This year, the Smurf Girls have invited all the Smurfs to their big Equinox party. Hearing the news, Gargamel and Azrael transform into Girl Smurfs and infiltrate the preparations.
Summary[]
Gargamel is out in the forest with Azrael, testing a special potion. He pours the potion in a bowl and a bunny eats the potion, causing it to freeze. Gargamel cackles and sees that his freezing potion works. He explains to Azrael that this is for the blasted Smurfs so he can catch them after they're frozen. Just then, he hears Lily, who is collecting blueberries with Begonia and Wild, as they're getting ready for the big Equinox party this year. Lily explains to a confused Begonia what the Equinox is and that Chef is making his smurftastic blueberry juice this year. As Lily explains, Wild eats a couple of the blueberries. Lily tells him not to eat them as they are going to be used in Chef's blueberry juice. The girls walk on ahead, while Wild eats another blueberry before running up to catch up with them. Gargamel and Azrael overhear the Equinox news and Gargamel gets the idea to pour the freezing potion into the juice, so he decides to follow them.
Lily, Begonia, and Wild arrive to the forest hill, where the Smurfs are hard at work preparing for the Equinox ball. Gargamel and Azrael watch and hide. Gargamel shows Azrael four pill-like beans. The blue ones disguise them while the red one turn them back. Azrael tries to escape but he is caught by Gargamel, who makes him eat one of the beans and they become Smurf Girls. Azrael laughs at him until Gargamel shows him a mirror and causes Azrael to realize that he too has become a Smurf Girl.
Gargamel and Azrael arrive at the hill, the former telling Azrael to not meow since they are undercover. Nearby, Storm tells Handy where to locate the stage and benches, but suddenly, she and Handy notice the undercover duo and ask who they are. Gargamel introduces himself as "Geranium" and Azrael as "Azalea" - who is mute. Handy remarks how he has never seen them before, so "Geranium" claims that they live on the outskirts of the girl's village and that they don't go outside much to keep their good complexion.
They see Lily, Begonia, and Wild and try to identify themselves as Begonia's cousins. Begonia believes this but Storm and Lily are confused. Wild, meanwhile, is smitten with "Geranium", which creeps "her" out and says she needs something to drink. She tries to "flirt" with Handy, asking him if there's any blueberry juice, but Handy tells her it's not ready yet, but she and "Azalea" can help Begonia prep the blueberries for the juice. Begonia takes the two "Smurf Girls" away as Storm and Lily grow suspicious. Wild is still smitten and doesn't notice the disguise.
Begonia takes "Geranium" and "Azalea" to the kitchen, where she talks non-stop about the rest of her extended family, boring the two. Geranium is irritated and asks where Chef is, but Begonia is unaware and abandons the conversation in favor of talking about pebbles. Geranium decides to look for Chef and leaves Azalea in the kitchen, much to the latter's disappointment.
Geranium unfortunately comes across Wild again, who this time brings her a bouquet of bugs. Geranium struggles to be nice and makes up a fake flower for Wild to find to get rid of him. Wild blindly takes the request and runs off. Geranium continues searching for the blueberry juice. What she is unaware of is that Storm and Lily, are keeping a watchful eye on her.
Geranium finds the blueberry juice being prepared, but it's being heavily guarded by Hefty, who has been entrusted by Chef to keep Greedy from sneaking a taste. Geranium witnesses Greedy - who hides in a barrel - trying to sneak up past Hefty, but Hefty catches him before he could pounce on the juice. Hefty puts him back in the barrel he was in and rolls him away. Geranium realizes that this is going to be harder than she thought. Storm and Lily grow even more suspicious as they see her hiding behind a crate as she was spying on the juice.
Geranium runs back to Azalea and Begonia in the kitchen. "She" lies to Begonia that "No-Such-Person Smurf" is calling for her, which Begonia believes is another cousin and runs off in delight. Geranium tells Azalea that she has found the blueberry juice but needs to find a way to get the potion in without any suspecting witnesses. She takes Azalea with her this time so that Azalea can distract Hefty. Once again, Storm and Lily grow suspicious.
Azalea distracts Hefty from the pot of juice by looking dreamily at Hefty's biceps (though it's really just Azrael staring hungrily at him). Hefty shows them off while Geranium is about to pour the potion into the pot by lowering herself down a rope from a tree branch above. Unfortunately for her, Greedy is trying to steal it again and she ends up falling on top of him. Chef finds this and scolds Greedy, but also thinks Geranium "saved" the juice and is thankful. As Geranium's plan fails, she sees Azalea bite Hefty's arm. She claims that Azalea's just hungry and says that she'll get her some blueberries to eat. Hefty is also getting suspicious.
Later, Storm and Lily find "Geranium's" bag (along with the two red beans and the freezing potion). This confirms that it's Gargamel in disguise.
Geranium and Azalea sit in the kitchen, with Geranium complaining that there are more guards guarding the juice, his idiotic cat can't control herself, and she's lost her bag. To make matters worse, Begonia comes back and says she couldn't find the Smurf she was looking for, but Lily and Storm found her bag. Geranium is thrilled at this and tells Begonia to take a walk. She walks out of the kitchen. Geranium needs a new plan, but she can't think of one since Wild arrives to wheel out the blueberries for the juice and to see Geranium again. This angers Geranium, who's fed up with him and she tells him to leave her alone. Wild, upset, walks out the kitchen with a wheelbarrow full of blueberries. Just then, Azalea gives Geranium the idea to pour the potion directly on the blueberries.
Geranium runs out of the kitchen, apologizing for what she's done while secretly pouring the potion on the blueberries. As she pours it, she flirts with Wild and blows him a kiss. This makes Wild ecstatic and he runs off happily with the tainted blueberries. Lily and Storm smile as they are aware of the situation.
It is nightfall, as the Smurfs begin to party, they launch fireworks, talk, and the Smurf Band plays music. Chef gives Storm and Greedy their drinks and Storm calls a toast to the Equinox party. Geranium and Azalea toss their drinks over their shoulders, pretending to drink it, while the other Smurfs cheer and drink - however, they are all suddenly "frozen".
Gargamel cackles as he and Azrael observe them and believe that their plan worked. As the two eat the beans that change them back to normal, they are suddenly the ones to actually become paralyzed. The Smurfs stop pretending and gather around the frozen duo on the floor. Lily explains that they didn't put the tainted blueberries in their juice, but they put the freezing potion on the beans. They laugh and altogether push the duo into the nearby river while Gargamel curses them. While the Smurfs watch them float away, Wild comes up to them, wondering if any of them had seen Geranium. Hefty simply tells him that she wasn't right for him.
