Hogatha's bird call is a device owned and used by Hogatha in the 1980s cartoon show episode "Hogatha's Heart Throb". She uses it to summon her vulture Harold whenever she needs a ride.
In the episode, Hogatha tricks Gargamel with the promise of getting the bird call by saying it is a magic whistle that is used to attract Smurfs from miles around if he gets her hooked up with a date with Harlequin the sorcerer. Gargamel agrees to it, but then he tricks Hogatha by disguising himself as Harlequin so that he could get his hands on the "magic whistle". With the bird call on hand, Gargamel uses it to summon Smurfs to appear before him, and Feathers the crane appears with Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Jokey, and Clumsy riding on her. However, it also summoned a flock of birds to appear before him, and it also signaled Hogatha and her bird Harold to Gargamel's location, where he found himself chased off into the forest without the Smurfs.
