The Land Of Nod is a location near the Smurf Forest where it is always night. It is where the Sandman lives, where he sleeps until dusk for his task to put others to sleep begins. In the cartoon show episode "The Dark Ness Monster", Papa Smurf and the Smurflings travel to the Land Of Nod in order to awaken the Sandman and to get his help in offering his special sleeping sands so the Smurfs could make a new pair of glasses for Brainy.
It would appear again in the episode "Sleepless Smurfs".
