Uh oh! Very Smurfy Non-canon warning: This article or section contains non-canonical information that is not considered to be an official part of the Smurfs Franco-Belgian comic book series, the 1980s Smurfs cartoon show series, or the 2021 Smurfs cartoon show series, and should not be considered part of the overall storyline of any of those media universes.

MAD is an American animated sketch comedy series created by Kevin Shinick and produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Based upon the magazine of the same name, each episode is a collection of short animated parodies of television shows, movies, games, celebrities and other media using various types of animation. The series premiered on September 6, 2010 on Cartoon Network.

It contains parodies of some things. The Smurfs (notably Papa Smurf) have made some appearances in three episodes titled Avaturd, RiOa, and Super 80's. The film also got spoofed with Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon (TransBOREmores 3: Dark of the Blue Moon). Papa Smurf got spoofed again in a parody of Papa John's Pizza and himself named "Papa Smurf's Pizza" from the episode Moneyball Z / Green Care Bear. The Smurfs also got spoofed as rejected Smurfs in "Rejected Smurfs" from the episode WWe Bought a ZOO / 2 Broke Powerpuff Girls. Gargamel and Azrael appear as contestants in The Lex Factor. Papa Smurf got spoofed along with the American-Spanish-Canadian horror film, Mama in a segment named Papa. Gargamel advertises a sandwich with Smurfs in it, and he calls it "The Gargamelt Sandwich" from the episode After Bert / Downton Shaggy. The Smurfs got spoofed along with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a segment named Agents of S.M.U.R.F., where the agents are sent by Gargamel to capture the Smurfs. Gargamel got spoofed along with Melrose Place in a segment named "GargaMelrose Place" from the episode Alfred's Game / We Are X-Men.
