Madame Trilbee is a human character that appears in the 1980s cartoon show episode "Sleepwalking Smurfs". She is a sorceress who outright despises Gargamel and refuses to have anything to do with him until he presents her with a cut-glass ruby that he claims is real. Believing Gargamel's claims, Trilbee offered him her magic flute that would enable the wizard to control the Smurfs in their sleep. Though Gargamel did get the Smurfs to sleepwalk when he first played the flute, he was unable to find their village when he stopped playing it and accused Madame Trilbee of being a swindler. She retorted that the flute does indeed work and that he needs more practice with it. However, after Gargamel had fallen asleep from his second use of the flute, Madame Trilbee confronted him when she realized that the ruby he had given her was fake and used her magic flute to punish the wizard by making him bump into the trees of the forest while he was sleepwalking.
