The Mist Maiden is a character who appeared on the Season 4 episode "The Secret Of Shadow Swamp". She is a spirit who guards the Enchanted Falls, which is located near a giant whirlpool. Dismal Boggs and Grouchy reach over to the falls and ask her how they get to the other side to paradise. The maiden replies, "Only through me". As they go in, she warns them "There is no return from the enchanted glade". But as Dismal finds a rock of a map to the Lost Valley of the Vultures, he and Grouchy leave. This angers the Mist Maiden as she bellows after them, "I said, there is no return from the enchanted glade!". There she causes the waters to get rough sending Grouchy and Dismal back to the whirlpool until the Swamp Monster, guided by Papa Smurf, saves them.
