Mordor is a character who first appeared in the cartoon show episode "The Enchanted Quill". He is the Dean of Wizards of the Wizard's School and is chiefly responsible for putting Gargamel - a former student who failed to graduate - in charge of his least favorite student Scruple. Mordor's reason for doing this is because he hopes to be rid of the mischievous boy, as he doesn't see Gargamel ever being competent enough of a teacher to help him regain his place at the school to graduate. So far, his hunch seems right.
Mordor has a few more appearances in Season 7, such as "Smurf Pet" and "Scruple And The Great Book Of Spells".

- Mordor's name was probably borrowed from J.R.R. Tolkien's classic trilogy The Lord of the Rings, in which it was the name of the nightmarish land ruled by the Dark Lord Sauron.
