The Naughties (Les Canailles in French) are a pair of little humanoid persons that Gargamel created to help capture the Smurfs in the movie The Smurfs 2. They resemble Smurfs but have light grey skin with blue freckles and like to cause trouble.
In the movie, it is revealed that Smurfette was originally created in the form of a Naughty before Papa Smurf used a spell to turn her into a real Smurf. In the present time of the movie's story, Gargamel sends Vexy to kidnap Smurfette and bring her to Paris. The Naughties tell her how much fun it is to be naughty and try to get her to tell Gargamel a secret formula to turn the Naughties into real Smurfs. Once they become real Smurfs, however, Gargamel put them and Smurfette into the Smurfalator to extract Smurf essence from them and the other Smurfs that came to rescue Smurfette. With the Smurfalator destroyed and Gargamel overpowered by a large version of his dragon wand, Vexy and Hackus joined the Smurfs in their return home and became members of the Smurf Village.
The Naughties also make an appearance in the Smurfs' Village app game for iPad and Android.
