Nine Culliford (birth name Janine Devroye; March 29, 1930 - July 5th, 2016) was the widow of Pierre Culliford, the original Peyo, and the mother of Thierry and Véronique Culliford. She worked as a colorist for Studio Peyo on various Smurf comic book stories. It is said that it was she who suggested to the author of the famous Smurfs to color them blue.
