"Ogre Love" is a two-part and ninth-tenth (A|B) of Season 2 of the CGI TV series, The Smurfs.

Synopsis[]
When Smurfette removes a splinter from Bigmouth's thumb, he immediately falls in love with her and follows her to the village.
Summary[]
Part 1
In the Smurf Forest, Smurfette is being chased by Bigmouth, who is ready to have her as a meal. Smurfette hides in a log and believes she is safe... until Bigmouth hears her in the log, and she screams. As Bigmouth tries to grab her from inside the log, she hits his hand several times with Smurf-Fu moves until Bigmouth cries out that something hurt. Bigmouth begins crying. Smurfette believes that he is crying because he got what he deserved, but then she sees a splinter on his thumb that he got from the log. Smurfette tells him not to cry as it seems pathetic coming from a big ogre. She offers to help Bigmouth, under one condition: not to eat her. As she gets out of the log to help him, Bigmouth fears that it will hurt. She is annoyed by this and after he consistently hides his hand out of fear, Smurfette tells him it's going to be okay. Bigmouth trusts her and she takes the splinter out. However, during this, he compliments her "pretty hair" and is love struck. She heads back to the village, while the ogre observes her with newfound feelings.
Smurfette happily skips back to the Smurf village, where she greets Farmer, who suddenly drives away on his tractor. She just assumes the heat has gotten to his head again. Then, she compliments Harmony for his music, but he also suddenly runs away. Hefty then arrives to tell her to watch out and run for the hills. When Smurfette turns, she sees Bigmouth and tries to run, but Bigmouth manages to grab her. He holds her in his hand as she screams. Hefty orders him to let her go and tries to attack him, but is whacked away. Smurfette scolds Bigmouth since he promised not to eat her. Bigmouth then frightens her as he opens his mouth. Smurfette fears that she's about to be eaten, but Bigmouth simply kisses her hand and comments on her pretty hair again. Smurfette however, is more focused on his bad breath and tells him to put her down. Bigmouth obeys and the Smurf berates him for following her to the village. Just then, Papa Smurf sees Bigmouth and wonders what he is doing in the village. He is about to go help Smurfette, believing she is in danger, when Harmony stops him and notices Bigmouth giving Smurfette a bouquet of flowers. A jealous Hefty says that Bigmouth better think twice about doing that and tries to attack him again, but is flung away once more. Brainy believes Hefty never learns to stop. Smurfette tells Bigmouth that he can't do that to her friends and orders him to go away. But Bigmouth wants to stay with her, so Smurfette tells him she'll show him the way out. Papa Smurf sends Brainy, Jokey, and Harmony to follow her.
Smurfette and Bigmouth leave, and they arrive at Bigmouth's house, where Smurfette bids him farewell and tells him to not follow her again. However, the minute she leaves, Bigmouth follows her again and Smurfette tells him to go home. Bigmouth cries and says his home is with her and confesses that he loves her. It is at this moment that Smurfette realizes Bigmouth's crush on her. Smurfette stalls him by saying there's a purple unicorn in the sky and when he looks up, she runs away. She meets up with the three Smurfs sent to the forest and they run back to the village together. Just then, they are found by Gargamel and Azrael, who chase them. They are cornered by Azrael and are about to meet their doom, but Bigmouth saves them (specifically for Smurfette) and picks up Gargamel while Jokey thinks it's cool having a bodyguard. Gargamel is flung away while Azrael tries to do a cute tactic. It doesn't work and he is flung away as well. They fall into the bottom of a ravine. Bigmouth takes Smurfette in his hand again as the ogre says he will always protect her. Just then, Jokey gets the idea that if he protects Smurfette, he can protect them too. Brainy believes this is a terrible idea, but Jokey asks Bigmouth if he wants to go back to the village.
In the village, Farmer rounds up his snails into their pen when he sees Brainy running to Papa Smurf. He also sees Bigmouth and tries to run away, but Jokey tells him that Bigmouth is their friend. Jokey asks Bigmouth to round up the snails while Bigmouth does so under the "request" of Smurfette, who is still in his hand. The ogre rounds up the snails and forms a heart. Farmer is quite impressed on how fast Bigmouth rounded up the snails. Papa Smurf meanwhile approaches them with Brainy and Hefty. The surrounding Smurfs tell him that Bigmouth loves Smurfette and he's their friend and loyal protector. Smurfette instead says that she is a hostage. An enraged Hefty once again tries to charge Bigmouth while yelling, "Charge!", only for Papa Smurf to pull him back by the waistband of his pants. Papa Smurf then orders Bigmouth to put Smurfette down or he'll turn him into a newt with warts. Bigmouth obeys and puts Smurfette down. Smurfette leaves and tells them to inform her when this nonsense of Bigmouth's affection is over. Bigmouth follows her while breaking a barrel in the process. Papa Smurf decides to think after he eats.
Chef brings out carrots and cakes as the Smurfs say they are so hungry; they can eat several carrots. Smurfette, meanwhile, is sitting annoyed while Bigmouth hovers around her. Smurfette asks Papa Smurf if he has any idea on how to make Bigmouth go away, to which Papa Smurf says he has no idea. Just then, Bigmouth takes the entire table, throwing various Smurfs off of it and eats all the cakes and carrots. Bigmouth tells the Smurfs he always eats food like this. He burps loudly as the Smurfs fly away.
At night, Smurfette puts a flower in a vase as she hums the Smurf song. Her peaceful night is interrupted by Bigmouth, however, as he watches her from her window. She tells him to go to bed and she closes the blinds. Bigmouth starts singing and a nearby Smurf yells at him. Smurfette tells Bigmouth to go to sleep. Bigmouth starts sleeping - snoring, to be exact. The Smurfs wake up, unable to sleep due to Bigmouth's loud snoring and complain.
In the early morning, Hefty wakes up to find his barbells missing. They are being used like q-tips by Bigmouth to clean his ears. He licks his earwax off of them. A disgusted Hefty is sick of him and tries to attack Bigmouth. The ogre responds by eating Hefty. Smurfette rushes out of her home and orders him to spit Hefty out of his mouth. When Bigmouth spits him out, he sends Hefty flying to a flowerbed causing him to suffer yet another heavy hit. Smurfette tells Bigmouth that he can't eat her friends and that she needs him to listen to her.
Later, Smurfette and Bigmouth are at the edge of the village as Smurfette has a serious talk with the ogre. She explains that she lives in Smurf Village with her friends, and he can't stay in it since her friends are scared of him. Bigmouth says he loves to eat Smurfs, which Smurfette says is precisely the reason he can't stay. Bigmouth tells her he does not have many friends like her, and ogre ladies are "ugly" compared to her. Smurfette tries to tell him he should go back to them, but Bigmouth refuses and takes Smurfette away to his house. Brainy notices and watches in fear.
Part 2
Bigmouth arrives at his house with Smurfette in tow. She struggles to leave his grip. Bigmouth explains that this is how ogres date. Smurfette says she is not an ogre; therefore, she will not stay in his house. Bigmouth puts Smurfette in a cage so she won't escape. Smurfette begins to give up before fake crying. Bigmouth buys the fake crying and offers her a box of chocolates... filled with worms, which she gags at. She pretends to fake cry some more and tells the ogre she wants to be free. Bigmouth says she should stay with him and tries to entertain her. She laughs at this, amused, but immediately stops when she remembers that she has to free herself and complains she can't breathe in the cage. He takes her out of the cage. Once again, Smurfette stalls Bigmouth by saying there is a purple unicorn. She runs and when she almost exits the door, Bigmouth grabs her and locks her back in the cage again.
In the village, Brainy had told Papa Smurf what happened as the village leader tells him and Handy that they will fly to Bigmouth's house, rescue Smurfette, and fly back. Hefty, who is badly bruised, comes by and asks where they are going. Papa Smurf says they're going on a test run with new jet packs. Hefty gets suspicious and wonders if said test run has to do with Smurfette and Bigmouth's whereabouts, so Papa Smurf and Handy suggest that they probably went for a stroll by the dam. Hefty says he's going to go look for them near the dam then. The three are glad he is stalled... only to get caught when Papa Smurf utters out loud that if Hefty had learned about Smurfette's kidnapping, then he might've hurt himself again. Hefty wants to come with them, but the others are determined to leave him behind. Handy immediately grabs Papa Smurf and the two fly off, but Brainy has trouble starting his jet pack. When it starts flying, Hefty manages to grab on to Brainy's legs, but he gets hit by a bench and is forced to let go. Just then, Hefty sees a jet pack that Handy had made for Papa Smurf that was left behind and smiles.
In Bigmouth's house, Smurfette demands to be free while Bigmouth doesn't listen and makes supper for her. Smurfette refuses to dine with him, but her stomach growls as she gets hungry. Bigmouth hears her grumbling tummy and frees her, trusting her. Smurfette says the place is a mess and Bigmouth gets to work on cleaning, but the broom he was going to use breaks.
While Papa Smurf, Handy, and Brainy go to Bigmouth's house, the ogre cleans around. While he is distracted, Smurfette tries to escape from the chipped door, but Bigmouth stops her and asks where she is going. She lies and says she was going to get an "exercise ball".
While Hefty is struggling to keep up with his jet pack, Smurfette and Bigmouth play a game. When she pretends to drop it elsewhere, she goes to get it as an opportunity of escaping, but Bigmouth shows her he is balancing the rock on his nose. Smurfette is a bit impressed, and he tells her he is a taekwondo master, only to fall and say he has many talents.
At night, Smurfette thanks Bigmouth for the delicious dinner as he belches. However, she tells him it can't be able to work between them. She lies to him and explains that she is of various negative traits, and she is "free-spirited". Bigmouth tells her he is free-spirited as well. He crashes onto the floor and Smurfette says he's big and she's small, making them different. Bigmouth is about to cry but stops his tears and gets mad for her being small. He hits the table hard, causing Smurfette to almost fall. She says they can make it work and size isn't everything.
Later, it is time to go to bed. As Bigmouth falls asleep, he yawns, releasing a trail of bad breath. Papa Smurf, Handy, and Brainy arrive at the house - though Hefty catches up with them as they clash together and fall.
The four Smurfs go in the house through the door and wake up Smurfette. Hefty attempts to get her out of Bigmouth's palms while Smurfette tells Papa Smurf about a plan she has. Papa Smurf likes this plan.
The four Smurfs are near Gargamel's hovel, where Brainy is going to be the one who goes in. Brainy uses his jet pack and arrives at the hovel, where Gargamel and Azrael are sleeping. Azrael wakes up from Brainy's calls and tries to get him. He jumps onto Gargamel's face and tries to catch Brainy but falls. He chases him out of the hovel from the rafter and Brainy is coming back to the three Smurfs. As Azrael chases him, Hefty throws a rock on him, causing him to fall. The four Smurfs prepare for phase two, which involves Gargamel.
In the hovel, the evil wizard is sleeping as the Smurfs go inside. They use a honey pot, a piece of broom, a paintbrush, and a comb. While Hefty stalls a sleep talking Gargamel, Papa Smurf tells Handy to get glue.
In the early morning, Smurfette wakes Bigmouth up to tell him an idea that will have the two stay together forever. It involves seeing a powerful wizard. Bigmouth rushes out of the house and dashes through the forest, enthused at the idea of staying together. They arrive at Gargamel's hovel, where Smurfette tells him she's going inside so the wizard can make her big and tall. Smurfette is put down and she walks to Gargamel's hovel.
When she is in the hovel, Hefty throws a rock at Gargamel, who wakes up and sees the five Smurfs. He chases them (though Smurfette stays behind) and Bigmouth believes Gargamel is Smurfette. He runs up to him and Gargamel notices him. Bigmouth starts hugging Gargamel in drag. Gargamel tries to get away from him while the Smurfs (including Smurfette) run off. In the end, Gargamel receives the short end of the stick as he struggles to get him off while Azrael laughs.

- This is the forth half-hour special of the series. The first three are "The Pluffs!", "Smurfy Secrets", and "The Smurfs Show".
- This episode has a faster airtime from French to English, as this episode released on August 29, 2022, while the United States aired this episode on September 9, 2022.
- This episode released a year and a day before the premiere of "Smurf-Fu" on September 10, 2021.
- Smurfette stalls Bigmouth by saying there is a purple unicorn in the sky. Brainy had previously used this excuse in "Order Of Merit".
- Bigmouth reveals that ogre ladies exist.
- Gargamel wears the same outfit that he wore in "Cover Story".
- Before Bigmouth throws Azrael into the air, Azrael uses the same face that he used when Gargamel yelled at him in "The Curse Of The Smurfs' Treasure".
- When the Smurfs eat Chef's carrots, one of the Smurfs has the same voice as Dimwitty, though it is unknown if this is Dimwitty or if this is a regular Smurf.
- The scene where Brainy's perspective on the obstacles that he faces while Hefty is on the jet pack with him is reused footage from "The Guest Who Wouldn't Leave".
- The pan of the village in the beginning is repeated footage from "Smurf-Fu".
- This repeated footage causes an error, as Brainy can be seen, but he is with Papa Smurf and Handy in the next scene.
