Paris is a major metropolitan city in the country of France, where most of the story of The Smurfs 2 takes place. Gargamel had set up an underground lair in the city where his Smurfalator would be used for extracting the essence of all the Smurfs, starting with Smurfette and his soon-to-be-Smurfs creations Vexy and Hackus.
