"Pop Out!" is the thirty-seventh episode of Season 1 of the 2021 CGI TV series, The Smurfs.

Synopsis[]
Gargamel casts a spell on Grouchy so whatever he complains about appears in his hovel. Jokey starts using his power to get rid of some things, but not everything is good to disappear.
Summary[]
In the Smurf Forest, Gargamel has set up several blueberry traps so the Smurfs can find them and get stuck in one of them. However, he has set them all up next to him and Azrael. Azrael tries to eat one of them, but Gargamel stops him, saying these are only for the Smurfs. Gargamel holds Azrael so close to his back that he falls into the trap with him. Gargamel and Azrael keep getting hurt by the trap and they end up falling off a cliff, only to be saved by a branch. He is mad that his plan did not work as Chef, Brainy, and Grouchy watch and wave to him. Chef throws one of the traps at Gargamel's face and Brainy says it's a shame Papa Smurf went to the Magic Convention, since he would have loved to see this. Grouchy sighs and remarks that he doesn't like Magic Conventions. Gargamel is annoyed at the grouch and angrily asks if that's all he says, but Grouchy remarks that he doesn't like Gargamel or Azrael. Chef and Brainy walk away and Grouchy blows a raspberry and walk with them. Gargamel is angrier and shakes the branch on accident, causing it to break and Gargamel and Azrael fall. The straw that Grouchy had put in his mouth falls on Gargamel and he gets an idea.
In Gargamel's hovel, the evil wizard shows Azrael a voodoo Grouchy with the straw from earlier. He explains that he can use a potion and secretly put it on Grouchy, which can make whatever he says he doesn't like to appear in his hovel, which can happen by using a magic shell that brings things from the village. As Gargamel says he is a genius, Azrael looks at him, not believing this. He simplifies and says that if Grouchy complains about a Smurf, it brings the Smurf to his hovel. He proceeds to put the green potion onto Grouchy via his hovel without Grouchy feeling a thing.
In the Smurf Village, Grouchy complains about the baskets that Chef and Brainy got from the forest as Chef brings out a cake. Jokey and Greedy are excited to eat it (and Greedy is more excited), but Chef stops him, saying this is for Papa Smurf. Then, he leaves as he is going to get something. Greedy is disappointed and wants to eat the cake, but Jokey stops him, despite himself wanting some as well. Grouchy complains about the cake and it disappears. As Gargamel is waiting for a Smurf to come in, all he gets is several cakes as Grouchy said he doesn't like cake(s), meaning every cake. Gargamel is unsatisfied with the results as he looks at the cakes. Just then, an even bigger cake falls out of the shell, and he falls down. In Bigmouth's house, it turns out that the giant cake was Bigmouth's treat. As it went missing, Bigmouth is confused.
Chef, wait, it's not what you think!
Meanwhile in the village, Chef brings out utensils, but is startled to learn that the cake disappeared. Jokey and Greedy try to tell him it went missing on its own, but Chef does not believe it and starts chasing the two Smurfs, as well as Grouchy. The three Smurfs hide under a table as Chef tries to hit one of them if they peek near him. The Smurfs go on the opposite side of the table. He chases them again and throws one of his utensils at them but misses. By now, the four Smurfs have gone much faster now as Grouchy is the one getting chased by Chef. Chef hits Grouchy with a spoon and Grouchy complains about that, causing the spoon to disappear. Bigmouth is ready to eat soup, but his spoon disappears as well. In Gargamel's hovel again, Gargamel is still trying to get a Smurf, but gets a small utensil followed by an even bigger spoon as Azrael laughs.
In the village again, Chef is unsure what happened to his cake and utensils and so does Greedy with "his cake". Jokey notices that Grouchy can make anything disappear. Chef thinks he's joking, so Jokey pushes Chef aside and demonstrates. Jokey asks Grouchy about benches and Grouchy complains about that and all of the benches disappear, including the one that Chef and Greedy are sitting on, the one that Vanity is sitting on, the one that Lazy is sleeping on, and the one that Bigmouth is getting ready to sit on. Gargamel is ready to get a Smurf (but he's protected) and all he gets are little, tiny benches, followed by Bigmouth's bench. Chef briefly leaves to tell Brainy. Jokey takes Grouchy around the village to have some fun.
Goodbye Brainy
First, Jokey gets Grouchy to transport all of Baby's dirty diapers into Gargamel's hovel where he is cleaning. The diapers stink up the place. Then, Grouchy eliminates the dirty dishes and they fall into Gargamel's hovel where he'll have more to clean up, as well as dealing with Bigmouth's big plates. Grouchy gets all of the utensils to disappear and into the hovel along with Bigmouth's utensils. While Grouchy keeps saying what he doesn't like, Gargamel is now fighting all of the objects in his hovel and a barrel ends up hitting him. Jokey is laughing his pants off when Brainy comes on his smurfway and covers Grouchy's mouth so he won't say anything else. Brainy then starts lecturing, angering Grouchy and he bites his hand. Grouchy says he does not like Brainy, so Brainy disappears!
In Gargamel's hovel, Gargamel and Azrael are scared of the shell that has been sending them random things but are delighted to get a Smurf. They lock him up in a cage. Back in the village, Greedy, Jokey, and Chef are trying to look for Brainy as Greedy says Papa Smurf will not like his disappearance. Jokey laughs, saying he will get a medal for this. Grouchy says that the disappearance is all his fault... and says he doesn't like himself, causing him to disappear as well and the three other Smurfs are surprised.
In the hovel, Azrael warns Gargamel that another thing is coming from the shell, turning out to be Grouchy as Gargamel catches him and places him in the cage with Brainy. Brainy wonders how they are going to get out of this as Grouchy grouch as usual. Gargamel tells them they will be a part of his food recipe and Grouchy remarks how he doesn't like him, and Brainy is happy, but Gargamel is immune to the spell. He then gets the voodoo doll from earlier and puts a needle on it as Grouchy gets hurt. Gargamel then messes around with Grouchy's nose as Brainy tells him not to say anything. He says he doesn't like the doll and it disappears. The doll comes back from the shell and Gargamel tries to catch it but he misses. His foot gets stuck in a barrel, and he falls onto a flipped table.
Brainy tries to find a way out of the cage and Grouchy says he doesn't like cages, freeing them. They try to get away, but Gargamel catches Brainy and Grouchy, comes back and says he doesn't like Brainy again without meaning it this time. Brainy falls back into Gargamel's hands after coming out of the shell. Gargamel then orders Azrael to get Grouchy, but Grouchy counters saying he doesn't like Azrael, sending him into the shell and onto Gargamel, causing him to not be able to see. Brainy and Grouchy escape successfully as Gargamel tries to get Azrael off of him.
Brainy and Grouchy leave the hovel and run into the forest to go back into the village. Brainy starts saying several things, to which Grouchy says he doesn't like to all of them, finishing the conversation with asking about ogres, snakes, and bears. Grouchy says he does not like any of them and all three show up in Gargamel's hovel, along with a furious Bigmouth who demands his belongings back!

- This is the first episode of the 2021 TV series not to feature the background Smurfs.
- This is the fifth episode in which no female characters appear. The first four are "Joke's On You", "Leaf It Alone", "Adventures In Smurfsitting", and "The Curse Of The Smurfs' Treasure".
- Gargamel trying to get a bucket off his foot before falling is similar to Papa Smurf doing the gag in "Where's Papa Smurf?".
- This is the first episode in which Bigmouth and Gargamel interact with each other. Bigmouth fights with Gargamel, which is similar to the comics and 1981 TV series.
