"Reaching For Stars" is the fifteenth episode of Season 3 of the CGI TV series, The Smurfs.

Synopsis
After breaking Papa Smurf's telescope, Monkey wants to repair his mistake and goes in search of a star.
Summary
Papa Smurf is in his lab with Brainy, Baby, and Monkey (the latter two playing around the place) as he looks at a paper. He tells Brainy that he is looking at the coordinates of a Vega Smurfolious Star, the most fabulous star in the world that only comes every 3,000 years for one hour. Papa Smurf is ecstatic, saying he has been waiting his entire life for it and he will not miss this opportunity. All of a sudden, the telescope falls and the lens break!
Papa Smurf is crushed and Baby and Monkey, who were playing on it, wonders who did this. Monkey pins the blame on Baby as Papa Smurf mourns his broken telescope. Brainy comforts him and says he can get Handy to fix it, but Papa Smurf tells him that not even Handy can fix the telescope before the night starts. Monkey begins to express lots of guilt for this.
Monkey and Baby are at the edge of the village, Brainy standing in front of them. He scolds the both of them and forces them to spend some time apart, sending Monkey into the forest for a bit. He takes Baby with him, though Baby begins to start crying as Monkey depressingly walks away.
Monkey unhappily walks through the forest and finds a rock to sit on and look up. He then sees a star in the sky, which he unsuccessfully tries to catch. Monkey travels up a tree to get it, but ends up tumbling down. He is suddenly saved by Wild, who is riding on one of his vines, and they take safety in another tree. Wild questions why Monkey was doing up in the branches and Monkey shows him a star that he wants to give to Papa Smurf, which makes Wild understand him. However, he points out that stars only exist in the far sky, so they can look for a different star.
Back at the village, Baby continues crying in Brainy's house, where Brainy is trying to get him to fall asleep. Papa Smurf walks into Brainy's house and demands to know why Baby is crying and Brainy says it is because he has been separated from Monkey. Papa Smurf realizes that Baby misses his best friend and says they will go look for Monkey in the morning, while also firmly asking for Brainy's agreeing.
Wild and Monkey are still out in the forest looking for stars and discover tiny little fireflies. Monkey tries to capture the fireflies and chases them until he trips and falls on a snake. He tries to escape, but the snake eventually grabs him and plans to eat him, only to be saved by Wild once more. Wild decides that nighttime is too dangerous for searching and decides to hold off until tomorrow.
The next morning, Baby has awoken and tries to wake up Brainy, though he is still asleep. Baby tilts all his books over to wake him up and is ready to search for Monkey. Brainy decides to help him, but only before his healthy breakfast, much to Baby's annoyance.
Monkey and Wild go into a cave, where there is a star inside - a star flower that is the only one in the forest. Monkey takes it and it immediately wilts, much to his sadness. Wild assures him that they will continue looking. The two then use more vines to spring into elsewhere in the forest. Wild finds a rock, saying that stars sometimes can be found here and throws it to a larger rock as it breaks, only to find nothing.
Meanwhile, Brainy eats his breakfast as Baby is trying to take him to find Monkey, though all Brainy does is lecture him and chew his waffle slowly.
Wild and Monkey have finished breaking rocks and find zero stars. Unfortunately, when Monkey throws a rock away, it hits Gargamel, who is ticked and wants to know who did this. Wild and Monkey escape as Gargamel and Azrael are on their tails, throwing freeze balls to get them. Azrael tries to get Monkey but Gargamel orders him to get the Smurf. He throws freeze balls at their directions and eventually accidentally hits Azrael with a freeze ball. Gargamel does not go to unfreeze him and runs after the Smurf.
Gargamel ends up successfully freezing Wild and picks him up, only for Monkey to save him and take cover in a tree. Gargamel initially tries to catch them by climbing the tree and falls, so he climbs up using suction cups. Monkey drops a pinecone and Gargamel, toppling the wizard back to the ground as he yells this fight is not over.
Brainy continues stalling back at the village, brushing his teeth as Baby continues trying to get him to find Monkey. Just then, Baby watches Handy repairing Papa Smurf's telescope and tuns up to the lab to look inside it. With the telescope, Baby notices Gargamel using suction cups to get in the tree while Monkey panics. Baby then subsequently sees Dimwitty playing on an airplane. He races out of the lab as Handy questions about babies.
Baby races up to Dimwitty, who is mimicking a bird in the airplane. He sees Baby and asks if he wants to be in the plane with him. Brainy, who has finished brushing his teeth and Papa Smurf asks him why he is not out with Baby looking for Monkey. Brainy tells him that he was about to - but he lost sight of Baby. All of a sudden, the two duck and see Baby riding on the plane with Dimwitty, which Papa Smurf finds baffling.
Dimwitty flies through the forest with a scared Baby, recklessly steering the plane around the trees. One tree catapults them further into the air. Gargamel meanwhile keeps getting pinecones and acorns thrown at him by Monkey. He has had it and throws the pinecone back to the frozen Wild, who is about to fall but is saved by Monkey's tail. However, he looses grip of the tree branch and nearly falls to his doom when he is saved by Dimwitty's plane. Dimwitty drives, only to find Gargamel grabbing the plane and he runs with it through the forest.
The Smurfs and Monkey continue to race around the forest with Gargamel on the plane and they suddenly end up falling off a cliff. The plane goes down and near the edge of a ravine, where Gargamel struggles to keep up. They successfully avoid a collision with giant rocks and fly upwards. Here, Gargamel hits a rock and they experience a rock that has a star in it! The Smurfs and Monkey observe its beauty… but Gargamel can't and he ends up hitting a cliff, sending him to the bottom of a ravine. He ends up being the one seeing little stars as he is extremely dizzy.
Papa Smurf and Brainy arrive to the forest, where they find the Smurfs and Monkey on the plane, which crashes into a tree. Monkey then shows Papa Smurf the star he got, which makes Brainy begin to talk about how it is not a star, but a rock with crystal formations. Papa Smurf ends up telling Brainy to "smurf it" and congratulates Monkey for finding this wonderful star. As Monkey and Baby high five, Dimwitty observes the frozen Wild as Papa Smurf says he will be back to normal.
At night, Handy officially repairs the telescope and Papa Smurf congratulates him. He tells Baby, Monkey, and Wild to take a look at the star, which they find quite nice on the eyes.
