Sara is a human character who appeared in the Johan And Peewit comic book story "The War Of The Seven Springs". She was a powerful witch whom Aldebert Baufort encountered while he was still living, who offered to grant the elderly man one wish. Aldebert, being a lover of wine, wished for his seven springs to produce wine instead of water, and thus she granted him that wish. However, later on, as the springs that were producing wine were now making drunkards of the men of his estate, Aldebert found the witch and asked for the springs to produce water again, but Sara told him that she could only grant him one wish. Upset, Aldebert became rather forceful and demanding of the witch to take back his wish, and Sara became so upset that she cursed his land so that its springs would dry up, producing neither water or wine. With the land becoming barren because of the dried-up springs, the people of Baufort Castle moved away, and Aldebert was left alone to die, calling out the witch's name in vain.
At the present time that the story takes place, Sara had passed on, leaving Sir Johan and Peewit to seek a possible descendant who could help them restore the seven springs so that the land could be fertile again with a Baufort heir ruling in Aldebert's place.
Sara was referred to in the Johan and Peewit episode adaptation "The Haunted Castle", but due to American censorship prohibiting the display of alcoholic consumption in Saturday morning children's entertainment, she simply cursed the seven fountains to dry up out of sheer malice, causing the land around Baufort Castle to be barren.
