Sirene is a character who only appeared in the cartoon show episode "A Fish Called Snappy". She is a water sprite which has magical powers. In the episode, she first appears in the beginning while a small fish is being chased by the big fish, she used her magic power to transform the small one to a fish with sharp teeth and let it chase back the big fish as to 'teach' the big fish not to bully. Soon, she appears at the beach, the Smurfs are scared while they know water sprite are dangerous. But Snappy Smurfling does not afraid of her. He even plays tricks on her. She is angry and turns him into a blue fish for making her angry. However, Neither the Smurfs and herself know that Snappy is captured by a greedy foodie, Gluttonous the Gourmet for a dish until Sassette Smurfling reports it. Snappy needed to be rescued and Sirene agreed to take the Smurfs to Gluttonous's boat for rescue by calling a dolphin to take the Smurfs. After a while, Snappy escaped and the rescue team is in danger. Sirene sends Snappy back to the boat to save them first. The Smurfs are saved and Gluttonous falls into the sea, she transform him into a fish by magic and seeing Gluttonous being chased away by other fish. Finally, she turns Snappy back to himself again and swims away after saying goodbye to the Smurfs.
