Smoogle is one of the main characters that appeared in the Smurfs cartoon show in Seasons 8 and 9. He's a pink marsupial-type animal that vaguely resembles a rabbit. He somehow latched onto Nanny while being trapped in Castle Captor and escaped with her when Grandpa Smurf and the other Smurfs rescued her. He seems to behave like he's got a mind of his own.
His character was voiced by Frank Welker.
Relationships
Nanny Smurf
Smoogle is Nanny's pet, ever since they met in Castle Captor when it disappeared. Nanny loves Smoogle very much and cares for him. Nanny goes almost everywhere with Smoogle, as seen in "Nanny's Way" and "A House For Nanny".
In "Bungling Babysitters", Nanny doesn't let Smoogle babysit Baby Smurf, as she says she needs a mature Smurf for this job.
Baby Smurf
Smoogle is very good friends with Baby Smurf, as seen in "Bungling Babysitters". When Nanny asks who Baby wants as his babysitter, Baby points at Smoogle, and together they also rescue Brainy, Handy, and Greedy from Hogatha. In the end of the episode, Smoogle and Baby play together as his babysitters fall asleep.
Grouchy Smurf
Smoogle is one of rare characters that make Grouchy happy, even though Grouchy disliked Smoogle until after the events in the episode "Smoogle Sings The Blues".
Grandpa Smurf
Grandpa Smurf is one of rare characters that can understand Smoogle. He takes care of him throughout Season 9, as Nanny doesn't travel through time along with them.
