Smurfbegonia (original French name Bégonia) is a recurring character of the 2021 TV series and a minor character in the comic books, usually in the Girls' Village Collection.
Character[]
She is one of the Smurf Girls who inhabited Smurfy Grove before it was abandoned and moved to a new village. She is Dopey Smurf's female counterpart, as shown in "A New Beginning", she is supposed to be finding Brainy and Blossom but instead finds a flower (which is similar to the way that Dopey acts when he is asked to find something).
She made her first official appearance in the 2019 comic "A New Beginning" but made her first official English appearance in the 2021 TV series episode "Crashing Gargamel's Party" with Dimwitty.

Smurfbegonia looks different both times she appears.
In the comic "A New Beginning", Smurfbegonia has fluffy bob-cut hair with straight bangs, her sleeveless dress has a spiky hem, and she has a lily flower (similar to Smurflily's, but light purple) on the left side of her hat.
In the 2021 cartoon, Smurfbegonia's design seems to be made up of existing 3D model assets. She has a hair style very similar to Storm's, she wears the same yellow shoes and hat as her fellow Smurf Girls, a dress with a darker shade of yellow, and a lily flower (similar to Lily's, but pink) on the left side of her hat.
Begonia's costume
In "Smurf Racers", a Halloween episode from the 2021 series, Begonia's costume is an orange dress and an orange flower with a dark brown hat and shoes.
Personality[]
Begonia is quite cheerful but is also very ditzy. She gets easily distracted by everything interesting going on, especially animals, which is shown in "Crashing Gargamel's Party", when she gets distracted by a butterfly. This is because she is a lover of animals, as seen in "Wild Gets Tamed" and also loves shiny stuff, such as Doctor's stethoscope in "Leaf's Under the Weather".
Despite her idiocy, like Dimwitty, her heart is always in the right place. In "Crashing Gargamel's Party", she and Dimwitty think of throwing Gargamel a party, believing he has become good.
However, she is not entirely stupid. She and Farmer work together to undo the chaos they cause to various Smurfs in "Leaf's Under The Weather". She and Farmer also stop Gargamel from taking Leaf's magic wand. In "Wild Gets Tamed", she works with Blossom and Lily to prank Wild with a cake in "Wild Gets Tamed".
Begonia has a slightly mischievous streak as well. In the aforementioned "Wild Gets Tamed", she, Lily, and Blossom trick Wild into eating an indigestion cake when he steals their muffins. Begonia also helps Storm throw the Smurfs out of their village in "Wanna Bet?" when Smurfette loses her bet with Storm.
Relationships With Others[]
Dimwitty Smurf[]
She and Dimwitty are seen together in "Crashing Gargamel's Party", when they believed Gargamel has turned good and wanted to throw a party in his honor.
Smurflily[]
Begonia shares a good friendship with Lily. In "Poet Slam", she votes for Lily in the Poet Slam contest and roots for her in the waffle eating contest against Greedy in "Waffles And Punishment". Begonia is also seen eating her waffles in "Blossom Goes Wild!".
Despite their friendship, Lily often shows annoyance to her constant stupidity.
Smurfstorm[]
Much like Blossom, Begonia aspires to be a great fighter. In "Smurfboards", she is seen with her and Blossom preparing to shoot at the target until they are thrown off by Brainy.
In "An Unsmurfy Friendship", Storm chooses Begonia on her smurfball team.
Gargamel[]
Begonia has come across Gargamel multiple times. Gargamel is consistently annoyed by her stupidity and constant mistakes, as shown in "Crashing Gargamel's Party", where she and Dimwitty mistakenly make Gargamel go around the forest as they forget where the village is after believing he has become good. Begonia doesn't get nearly as scared as the other Smurfs and Smurf Girls when they see Gargamel, often wanting to make friends.
In "Gargamel, Queen Of The Prom", Gargamel introduces himself as "Geranium" and as Begonia's cousin. She decides to show "Geranium" and "Azalea" around and talks more about her cousins.

- Begonia's name means a genus of perennial flowering plants in the family Begoniaceae.
- She seems to be good at archery, or at least likes it, as seen in "Smurfboards", when she, Storm, and Blossom prepare to shoot their arrows at a target.
- She, Smurfblossom, Smurfstorm, Smurflily, and Smurfwillow are the only main characters from the 2021 series to not originate from the 80s series.
