Smurfy Acres was the name of a second Smurf Village that Gargamel had created through the help of the Great Book Of Spells as a trap for the Smurfs in the cartoon show episode "Smurfy Acres". The place resembles a country club version of the Smurf Village with swimming pools, tennis courts, and golf courses all around the houses.
After its creation, Gargamel watched to see if the Smurfs would notice it as a band of them travelled through the forest to look for a mushroom cap big enough to replace Papa Smurf's roof with, but they ended up turning off in another direction, which frustrated Gargamel to the point where he asked the Great Book Of Spells for a way to attract the Smurfs to the new village. The book directed him to create two magic mirrors in which one of them will broadcast the image of its looker onto the other. The receiving mirror was put out into the forest for the Smurfs to find, with Gargamel disguising himself as a saleman, offering them the magic mirror so that they could watch the Smurfy Acres Show. The Smurfs took the mirror back to their village where they watched the show and were seduced by everything that the show's main focus had to offer them that all of them except for Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and Baby Smurf flocked to the new village to partake in its amenities. However, that was when Gargamel had trapped them inside the village with a towering wall that they cannot escape from... though the tradeoff is that now he can't even get his hands on the captured Smurfs.
Papa Smurf went back to the Smurf Village to alter the magic mirror so that it would now show Gargamel's magic mirror what the one in the village sees. Then, as Smurfette distracted Gargamel and Azrael with a cooking show, Papa Smurf used a potion to create a hole in the wall for the Smurfs to escape through. As the day began to turn into night, Gargamel realized that of the spells of the Great Book Of Spells would wear off, and as he watched, the wall disappeared, the new Smurf Village disappeared with no Smurfs left in it, and Smurfette's image had disappeared from his magic mirror.
