"The Curse Of The Smurfs' Treasure" is the thirty-sixth episode of Season 1 of the 2021 CGI TV series, The Smurfs.

Synopsis[]
Farmer and Vanity find a chest with a jewel that brings bad luck to anyone who touches it. When some Smurfs get affected by its power, they must bury it to reverse the spell, but Vanity steals the jewel, obsessed with it.
Summary[]
One day in the forest, Vanity is busy picking out flowers while Farmer is carrying them on a wagon to his annoyance. Suddenly, Farmer trips over something, which he figures out to be a treasure chest. When he opens it, it contains a magical gem that shines and gives off some static. Vanity notices it's shine - and immediately wants it. Farmer attempts to get it away, but he falls into the flower wagon and rolls down a cliff with Vanity running after him (for the gem). Farmer soon hits a rock, sending him flying into the village, causing him to ring the village bell.
The Smurfs come to see the news. Farmer presents to them that he found a treasure chest. While all of them are interested in the treasure, Papa Smurf comes in wanting to know what it is. He looks at the symbol, which reminds him of something. He goes to figure out what it is and tells Farmer, Vanity and the rest of the Smurfs not to touch it. When he leaves, the Smurfs want to get it but Vanity (who is still charmed at it) accidentally bumps the chest out of Farmer's hand in an attempt to keep it safe. Jokey jumps in to try to take it, but he misses it as the chest falls on Farmer's foot, as does Jokey, who lands on Farmer. With the jewel about to fall, Hefty grabs it and Brainy steals it from his hand and puts it back in the chest. Papa Smurf comes in and tells the Smurfs about the amulet and how it can bring luck to anyone who touches it. He explains that the jewel previously belonged to King Jinxton the First, who became the unluckiest soul in history. Brainy says he didn't touch it, as well as Hefty. He accidentally hits Brainy's smurfway, which goes out of control and hits Jokey, Hefty, and Farmer. The three other Smurfs are sent flying.
First, Farmer falls in the village well. Second, Brainy's smurfway is still out of control as Hefty falls on it. Last but not least, Jokey hits the village bell, with Clumsy and Dimwitty mistakenly believing there is fire and proceed to pull their Fire Brigade truck out. The truck hits Brainy and Hefty, sending the both of them flying. Papa Smurf comes to the conclusion that they both touched it. He tells the Smurfs that they have to bury it to free them of the bad luck. Just then, a Smurf tells him that the gem is gone. It is revealed that Vanity has taken it, to enjoy it "risk-free". Vanity hides the gem in his house so he can keep admiring it.
Meanwhile, the Smurfs continue to look for the gem around the village in several places (Dimwitty however, keeps finding different things). Jokey believes the amulet is in the barrel he just found, but he gets stuck to it as he runs around, knocking Hefty over. Vanity is still in his house admiring the gem as Jokey keeps running near the forest. He trips over a rock, knocking Farmer into his garden window. While Jokey is still rolling, he knocks over a flowerpot, which falls on Brainy. Papa Smurf believes someone in the village stole it, leading to the Smurfs arguing. Handy is chasing Hefty as the latter believes that Handy is keeping the gem inside his jet pack. The jet pack suddenly takes off with Hefty. He flies around the village with Handy being confused at what's going on. Papa Smurf gets Farmer out his garden window. Farmer then tells Papa Smurf that he believes that Vanity has stolen it, as he realizes that he, too, was amazed at the jewel.
Just today, the Smurfs are served into your basket
Later, Papa Smurf, Jokey, Brainy, and Farmer start to go over to Vanity's house as they accuse Vanity of taking the amulet. Just then, Hefty crashes into Vanity, revealing that Vanity took it. The five Smurfs chase Vanity into the forest, but Farmer crashes into Jokey, who crashes into Hefty. Brainy manages to escape, but he falls onto a rock, rolling near Jokey, Farmer, and Hefty. Papa Smurf runs as fast as he can, but the rock falls onto all five Smurfs, landing them into the hands of... Gargamel and Azrael. Vanity is the only one spared.
In Gargamel's castle, the five Smurfs are inside a cage as Gargamel is making a potion to get his revenge as usual. As Gargamel is telling Azrael what he needs in the potion, Vanity gives Azrael (while he's not looking) the amulet (but Gargamel asks for spider hair). Gargamel asks him where he got it, but there is a sudden explosion, causing Gargamel to become blind, knocking himself onto the cage, unlocking it. Vanity steals the amulet again and the others run out of the hovel. Gargamel tells Azrael to get the Smurfs, but then, a pot hits his foot, followed by Freeze Balls falling on him. Azrael additionally gets electrocuted by lightning.

In the forest, Vanity buries the cursed gem and says a couple final words. While the Smurfs are happy that the bad luck is done, Vanity is still a little sad. Dimwitty comes in telling Vanity he found a replacement gem, this time being a mushroom. The Smurfs (including Vanity) laugh.
Trivia[]
- This is the fourth episode in which no female characters appear. The first three are "Joke's On You", "Leaf It Alone", and "Adventures In Smurfsitting".
- The original French dub has Greedy and Chef arguing over who took the amulet. The English dub replaces Greedy with a generic Smurf, though he can be heard saying "Is it snack time?" in the episode.
- Clumsy and Dimwitty's operation of the fire brigade is repeated footage from "Smurf-Fu".
- The beginning shot of a caterpillar turning around is repeated footage from "Funny Mommy". In that episode, the caterpillar turned around to see Poet rhyming.
- Dimwitty finding different things other than the cursed amulet is a nod to the original comic books.
- While Jokey plays a major role, his gag box does not appear anywhere during the episode outside of the beginning.
- Vanity refers to the amulet as "My precious", similar to what Gollum calls The One Ring from The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

- In one shot when Vanity chases Farmer in the forest while Farmer is on his wagon, Farmer's eyebrows are missing.
