The Smurfs' Society is a hybrid NFT collection-game for Web3 where players who are part of the Smurfs' Society lead by Hacker Smurf must help free the Smurfs after Gargamel stolen their magic and turned them to stone and promote the Smurfs’ values to make the web (and the world) a better place. The NFT collection additionally features Smurfs such as Lazy Smurf, Lumberjack Smurf, Vanity Smurf, Clumsy Smurf, and Jokey Smurf.
While player is required to connect to their crypto wallet in order to access the Smurfs' Society app, as well as additionally converting real money to cryptocurrency. Players are encouraged to use cryptocurrency to combine different NFTs they purchase to create access crystals which will be their ticket to the presale - first they need to purchase a statuette of a petrified Smurf, which is the key on accessing the platform and participate in the gamification, then purchase magical ingredients, especially blue clay, which is needed every time to unlock magic by mixing potions or combining enchanted ingredients to obtain access crystals to mint Smurfs. 31 ingredients of different rarity levels can be mixed to create powerful potions. There are three different potion levels with hundreds of possible potions available.
The Smurfs’ Society has five NFT collections. The first two consist of the different elements the player needs to create a ticket to mint a Smurf NFT during the presale (statuette and ingredients). The third collection is the presale ticket (access crystals). The last two collections are for the actual Smurf NFTs (The Alliance Collection and The Legendary Collection).
The PFP collection includes 12,500 NFTs featuring 250 unique Smurf characters with over 350 individual rarity traits and a handful of renowned artist collaborations.
In a now-deleted post published on the Sandbox Game site on December 10th 2022, it is confirmed that the NFT collection would be expanding to be additionally hosted to The Sandbox - a blockchain-based 3D open world game. Players of the Sandbox community were offered 3000 exclusive Smurf statuette and ingredient NFTs for a selection of Smurfs Voxel holders and long-term community members of The Sandbox.
