"To Coin A Smurf" is a Season 7 episode from the 1980s Smurfs cartoon show .
Characters [ ] Synopsis [ ] Gargamel turns Sassette , Grandpa , and Brainy into gold coins. But because the transformation wasn't complete, they are able to turn back into Smurfs . Later, two robbers steal them and take them to the city.
Trivia [ ] Handy is able to build a duplicate machine despite only seeing Gargamel's machine from the outside. Maybe he stole the blueprints off-camera.
This episode, along with "The Royal Drum ", is the only episode where King Gerard appears without Clockwork Smurf . Goofs [ ] Handy's missing suspenders Gargamel clearly states that he placed six traps, and there is a shot showing six traps triggered. But there is also a shot of another un-triggered trap, the last trap Gargamel placed.
When Handy is pulling the coin lever, he has no suspenders.
When Sassette is hugging Smurfette at the end of the episode, the upper part of Smurfette's dress is green for a couple of shots. Videos [ ]
