Synopsis[]
Wimpy challenges Hefty and wins by accident, and everyone in the village start treating Wimpy as a strongman. Smurfette, who knows how Wimpy won, helps Hefty to become the strongest again.
Summary[]
As Hefty is busy doing his push-ups, he hears commotion in the village. Smurfette informs him that Wimpy just did one push-up and Hefty compliments him. Wimpy explains that he's been working out, he shows him a puny muscle, which the Smurfs believe is something else. They then remember all the times that Wimpy tried to do simple things, such as open a jar of jam. The Smurfs then laugh at him. Wimpy, furious, challenges Hefty to a "Smurf Off" to which Hefty is forced to agree to as the Smurfs call him a chicken.
Later, Hefty and Wimpy square-off with Smurfette as announcer. While Wimpy tries his best, Hefty is still winning. Wimpy gets hit by multiple objects in the contest and gets catapulted all the way to the monkey bars, which is where Hefty is. The other Smurfs are cheering for Hefty - except Smurfette, who looks at him with a glare. Hefty sees her glare and goes back to get Wimpy as the others are confused, but Smurfette is proud. Just as they are about to reach the finish line, Smurfette blows a kiss at him, causing Hefty to lose focus. He falls of the monkey bars, with Wimpy rolling into the finish line, making him the winner. All of the Smurfs cheer at his victory as Hefty is no longer the strongest Smurf.
Back in the village, several Smurfs are talking about Wimpy's win and mock Hefty for being a "weak" Smurf. When they all see Wimpy, they decide to call him "Heftier" complete with Painter painting a tattoo for him. Hefty walks away depressed with Smurfette watching. Just then, she comes up with an idea and asks Tailor to make her a costume.
Smurfette rings the Village Bell, attracting the attention of several Smurfs. She calls herself "The Great Cassandra" and she explains that she can tell the Smurfs their future. Brainy disagrees and says Papa Smurf says nobody can predict the future. The Great Cassandra "predicts" that Brainy with be kicked and tells the Smurfs to turn around. She kicks Brainy herself as all of the Smurfs are impressed. She then tells them that she predicts that a meteorite will fall onto the village, triggering panic until she says it will fall on the strongest Smurf. The Smurfs run away from Wimpy, now the strongest Smurf. Scaredy reminds him that he won the contest, which Wimpy believes doesn't count and he wants a do-over. Hefty agrees and challenges Wimpy to another Smurf-Off.
Later, at the obstacle course, all of the Smurfs are wearing armor and gear to be prepared for the meteorite while also cheering for Wimpy. Smurfette is the announcer again and starts the contest. Wimpy tries to get Hefty to win, but initially fails - until Hefty intentionally lets go of the monkey bars he fell off last time, causing Wimpy to roll down, but he doesn't cross the finish line. Hefty then crosses the line, making Hefty the strongest again. The other Smurfs cheer at the victory.
Smurfette then tells Hefty there is no meteorite and that she is The Great Cassandra, which Hefty sees as smart and she kisses him. Wimpy then attempts to push Hefty out of the way but fails. All of a sudden, the meteorite turns out to be real! The Smurfs then believe that Wimpy has saved their lives, causing Hefty and Smurfette to faint and all of the Smurfs laugh, including Wimpy.
